Andrew Hawes (Flemington)

Chief Financial Officer

Andrew was born and bred in Brisbane studying Accounting at Griffith University. He spent 24 years in the bedding industry rising through the ranks from Assistant Accountant to a senior role in Sales to becoming a multiple store owner and business manager in his own right. Andrew has always had an avid interest in the racing industry from a punting point of view but became wholly immersed when he bought a yearling for just 15k at the Gold Coast Sales. Subsequently named Thin & Crispy, ‘Crispy’ , as he was affectionately known, went on to win two listed races including the Seymour Cup and was third in the Gr.1 Australian Guineas.

Andrew came down to Melbourne and joined Lindsay Park in 2015 initially as a supporting accountant before progressing into the role as our Chief Financial Officer. He is based at our Flemington stables and oversees the financial wellbeing of the entire Lindsay Park operation. Andrew has three children and five grandchildren.
