Vet Nurse
Reports to: Veterinary & Spelling Manager
Hours: Full-time
Location: Euroa
Responsibilities & Duties
All skills for this role can be taught, but the following would be highly beneficial:
Ability to administer treatments (injections, pastes, bandages etc)
Excellent record keeping skills
Attention to detail
Prism, Google Sheets, Microsoft Office experience
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
Assisting with clinic
Collect horses from stables and bring into the clinic area for examination or treatment
Trot-Up horses
Place horses in crush for Scoping
Place horses in crush for Shockwave
Hold horses in clinic for x-ray examinations
Hold horses in clinic for nerve blocks and joint injections
Administer treatments – topical, oral, eye treatments, I/M, I/V etc
Bandaging
Take Bloods
Assisting with field work
Administer wormers & Vaccinations in the paddock
Hold horses for field castrations
Assist with checking of horses in paddocks post-surgery
