Euroa - Speller Assistant
Reports to: Veterinary & Spelling Manager
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm
Location: Euroa, Victoria
This role does not require you to drive a truck, although that would be a bonus, but you do need excellent Admin skills to record horse movements and update horse locations. Most importantly you will need great horse handling skills managing everything from unbroken yearlings to seasoned racehorses. It’s a great chance to join our highly professional Veterinary and Spelling Team and shine in this important role. The job is interesting and varied and involves:
Helping transport horses around the main Lindsay Park property at Creightons Creek, as well as to and from external spelling properties
Handling all types of horses from unbroken yearlings through to seasoned gallopers
Awareness of best and safest practices
Updating horse locations
Recording movements
Preparation of yards for arriving horses
Identification of horses on arrival
Relief feeding and hay runs at external properties
