Fastnet Rock-Ripping Nic yearling colt

This cracking colt is by boom sire Fastnet Rock. Fastnet Rock was Australia’s Champion Sprinter and 3YO colt in 2005 and is currently Australia’s leading sire for the season. He has produced the winners of a staggering $8.4 million in prizemoney for the first 9 months of the season, nearly $2.3 million ahead of his nearest rival (Redoute’s Choice - $6.1m) and nearly double that of the third stallion on the list (Commands - $4.7m). Fastnet Rock is the sire of eight individual G1 winners including the superstar fillies Mosheen, Atlantic Jewel and Sea Siren as well as the David Hayes trained, Irish Lights, Australian Guineas winner, Rock Classic, Wanted, Planet Rock, and Rock ‘n’ Rop.
The dam of this colt, the multiple city placed Ripping Nic, is a daughter of former Champion Australian Sire, Encosta de Lago. Ripping Nic has already produced 3 winners from 4 foals to race.
This colt did well during his breaking and education process and is now enjoying a brief spell in the paddock at Lindsay Park Euroa. He is scheduled to return to training in mid-August.
Eligible for the lucrative Inglis Race Series, SuperVobis, Vobis Gold and BOBS bonus schemes.
With the recently announced prizemoney increases in Victoria along with SuperVobis/Vobis Gold this colt will earn a minimum of $27,000 just for winning an eligible Maiden in country Victoria.
