Facilities at Randwick Racecourse, Sydney

In the 1980’s Colin Hayes’ vision for the future saw him purchase a block of land backing onto Randwick Racecourse in Sydney. Complete with a house, 166 Doncaster Avenue, Kensington is now known as David Hayes’ Lindsay Park Sydney Stables.

A modern 8 box stable barn was built on the block with direct horse access onto the Randwick track. Today these stables are invaluable to David Hayes when he has horses competing in the Sydney Carnivals.

The three-bedroom house literally adjoins the stables providing essential accommodation to Lindsay Park staff who are always on hand to the horses. While another apartment within the stable area allows more Lindsay Park track staff the opportunity work in Sydney and attend the horses.
