Facilites at Lindsay Park Stud training property Angaston, South Australia

Here exists a kind of “horse heaven”. A mini-metropolis for horses and people, complete with lush pastures, rolling hills, big red gums, grass gallops, bluestone stables and the historic homestead.

A state of the art equine establishment comprising uphill grass gallops, an all-weather track (all electronically-timed), a swimming pool, sand rolls, galloping treadmills, a veterinary clinic complete with laboratory and operating theatre, expansive pastures and stables with a county view.

It was Colin Hayes’ vision to be close to his horses, to have them physically, mentally and emotionally fit, and a country environment was pivotal in his plan.

Lindsay Park is self-sufficient with its administration office, saddlery and farrier workshops, housing for track riders and staff, and a fully-catered canteen.

The historic homestead with its manicured gardens, winding paths, tree-lined tracks, and a family of deer who are part of “the place” create an aura of this hideaway in the hills - A place that makes “horses happy”, a philosophy of the late Colin Hayes and a secret to his success.
